BIDWELL — Two individuals have been arrested in connection with break-ins that occurred at two businesses in the Spring Valley area earlier this week.

According to Gallia County Sheriff Joe Browning, William S. Zinn, 29, Oak Hill, and Charles E. Logan, 43, Galloway, Ohio, were arrested in connection with the break-ins at Baxter’s Harley Davidson and Bridgeport Equipment that occurred early Tuesday morning.

Reportedly, a 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle, an undisclosed amount of cash, as well as $10,000 in leather and jewelry was taken from the Harley shop during the break-in.

Baxter’s Harley Davidson is located at 1900 Jackson Pike.

Deputies later recovered the motorcycle and cash, but, as of Tuesday, had not located the leather and jewelry taken from the shop.

Browning also reported on Tuesday that nearby Bridgeport Equipment (formerly Carmichael Equipment), located at 668 Pinecrest Drive, had also been broken into.

No information about possible items taken from Bridgeport Equipment was available as of press time.

Agents with the Ohio Bureau of Identification and Investigation were also contacted by the sheriff’s office to aid in processing the scenes of the break-ins due to the size of the businesses.

According to Browning, Zinn and Logan have both been charged with second degree felony breaking and entering.
