Kenneth Dale Hall, 85, of Crown City, died Monday July 23, 2012, at his residence. Born on April 8, 1927, in Guyan Township, Ohio, he was the son of the late John and Bertha Mooney Hall.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Elouise Rankin Hall; two brothers, William Monroe and Ray Hall; and a sister, Bonnie Halley.

Kenneth was a retired mechanic for Broughton Dairy. He loved to play bluegrass music as a hobby and was an accomplished guitar player.

He is survived by his wife, Joan Gillispie Hall of Crown City; two sons, David Dale (Jada) Hall of Crown City and Timmy Edwards Hall of Gallipolis; two grandchildren, Jonathan David (Sarah) Hall of Maryland and Joseph Adam (Nikki) Hall of Crown City; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 27, 2012, at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home, with Pastor Randy Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Crown City Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to either the funeral home to help with Kenneth’s funeral expenses or American Lung Association.
