The Gallipolis Fire Department responded to a fire late on Monday morning that engulfed a house located on Ohio 7 South. The residence, located approximately three miles south of the intersection of Ohio 7 and Ohio 218, was fully involved upon the arrival of the fire department shortly before 12 p.m. on Monday. The Gallipolis Fire Department reportedly had four apparatuses on scene and called for mutual aid from the District 2 Fire Department, which provided two additional trucks. No information was available about any possible injuries, but Gallia County EMS was called to the scene as a precaution.
