GALLPOLIS — New travel and tourism decals have arrived at the Gallia County Convention and Visitors Bureau according to Bob Hood, Executive Director.

Decals can be purchased for $2 each, a minimum investment that goes a long way in promoting the City of Gallipolis.

The idea was patterned after the vacation destination location decals that are seen everywhere you go. “GO” and with the words Gallipolis, Ohio was featured on the local decal. The colors reflect the marketing theme of blue and yellow.

The idea actually was brought to Hood’s attention by Vince Hill, a retired local educator in the Gallipolis City School System. Vince came to one day and said, “you know this would be a catchy decal.” Officials also were able to incorporate the local icon — the Gallipolis bandstand — on each side.

Decals can purchased by stopping by the Gallia County Convention and Visitors Bureau located at 61 Court Street, Gallipolis.
