GALLIPOLIS — A crowd gathered to watch the River Recreation Royalty Parade as it made its way down Second Ave. by the Gallipolis City Park Tuesday prior to the crowning of the 2012 River Recreation Festival Junior Miss and the 2012 River Recreation Festival Queen. The River Rec Festival officially kicked off Tuesday with amusement rides, tasty carnival treats and, of course, the pageants. Coverage of Tuesday’s pageants will be published in tomorrow’s edition of the Gallipolis Daily Tribune.
