Arthur Clark, 70, passed away June 29, 2012, after a brief illness at Mount Carmel West Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Arthur was born December 31, 1941, to the late James Chester and Gladys Allmon Clark in Gallia County.

Preceding him in death were brothers, Richard and James Allen Clark; sisters, Dorothy Jean Kaple, Alice June Arrowood, Josephine Rice and Cynthia Ann VanGundy.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Clark, who he married on July 11, 1964. He and Joyce had two daughters, Gina (Kenny) Schmidt, Hilliard, Ohio, and Michelle (Robbie) Smith, Ashville, Ohio; four grandchildren, Ryan Campbell, Tarin Warner, Emily Schmidt and Collin Smith; sister, Francis (Chauncey) Houck of Gallipolis, Ohio; brother, George (Genny) Clark, Point Pleasant, W.Va., and many nieces and nephews.

He resided in South Bloomfield, Ohio, and was formerly from Gallipolis, Ohio. He was a member of First Church of the Nazerene, Gallipolis, Ohio, and presently attended First Baptist Church of Ashville. He was a retired Teamster Road Driver.

Arthur will be sadly missed by his loved ones and friends. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m., Sunday, July 1 at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, Ashville, Ohio. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on July 2 at the First Baptist Church, St. Rt. 316 West, Ashville, Ohio, with Pastor Mike Sutherland officiating.
