Ruby Lois Kingery Justice, 83, of Ironton, passed away Tuesday June 12, 2012, at the Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. The Cedarville, Ohio, native was born October 31, 1928, the daughter of the late Gerald Franklin Kingery and Bessie Marie Myers Kingery. She was the widow of Kenneth Justice.

Ruby was a 1945 graduate of Waterloo High School and graduated from Marshall University with a Bacholer of Education degree. She retired form the Symmes Valley School District after teaching 30 years. She was also a substitute teacher for Rock Hill Schools and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ellis Levon Kingrey.

Ruby is survived by daughter, Veronica Kay Justice of Ironton; sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Charles Saunders of Ironton; brother and sister-in-law, Merrill and Patty Kingery of Lakeside Village, Texas; sister-in-law; Amanda Lewis of Proctorville, Ohio; brother-in-law and his wife, Everett and Maxine Justice of Ironton; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, June 18, 2012, at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 South Seventh Street, Ironton, Ohio, with Rev. Matt O’Bryant and Rev. David Saunders officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
