GALLIPOLIS — Building upon their success last fall, the Ohio River Live committee is gearing up for another outdoor street festival to be held tomorrow beginning at 4 p.m. With a day chock full of local, regional and national musical performances of varying styles, the festival is sure to provide a little something for everyone.

The festival kicks off at 4 p.m. with local party rockers Joey D & the Dub V’s, featuring talented and energetic musicians from Gallia County, Ohio, and Mason County, W.Va. Then, the Pinstripes, a Cincinnati-based band with a horn section and a dance-worthy reggae groove, will take the stage. Following the Pinstripes, the Magic Mama Band, a Gallia-based group with roots in blues and soul featuring sultry vocal leads and harmonies, will perform.

Finally, national recording artist Cody Canada and the Departed will take the stage, filling Gallipolis’ Court Street with a solid Southern Rock sound and a story-telling vibe.

Gates will open at 3 p.m. Food, beer and merchandise will be available for purchase. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. No Coolers allowed. Advance tickets can be purchased locally at Coach’s Corner for $15 or at the gate on Saturday for $20 for adults and $10 for students with ID. Kids 10 and under will be admitted for free. Go to www.ohioriverlive.com for more information.

As of press time, the weather forecast calls for a sunny day in the 80s.
