Garnet Ellen Kisor, 95, Vinton, Ohio (Alice Community), passed away in Holzer Senior Care Center, Bidwell, Ohio, on Easter Sunday, April 8, 2012. She was a retired cook, Gallia County School System, and a loving mother.

Garnet was born April 30, 1916, in Vinton County, Ohio, daughter of the late John Snyder and Lula Geer Snyder. She married Richard L. Kisor on March 3, 1937, and he preceded her in death on February 15, 2004. Also preceding her in death was a son, John Franklin Kisor, and a brother, Earl David Snyder.

Surviving are a son and companion, Gary L. Kisor and Vicki Meade, Vinton; grandchildren, Justin, Evan and Kevin Kisor and Tabatha Freeman; great-grandchildren, Madison Freeman and James Wesley Kisor; and a sister, Bonnie Denney, Vinton.

In addition, she is survived by a daughter-in-law, Connie Kisor, McArthur, Ohio; step grandchildren, Chad Greer, Brian; step-great-grandchildren, Andrea, Drew, Brittney and Austin Greer.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 12, 2012, in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton, with Pastor Denver McCarty officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem Cemetery near Wellston. Friends may call on Wednesday at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m.
