
Gallia Academy senior Peyton Adkins, seated second from left, will continue her running career in both track and field and cross country at the collegiate level after signing a letter of intent with Ohio University on Friday, Feb. 3, at GAHS in Centenary, Ohio. Joining Adkins in front for the signing are her sister and current OU runner Lauren Adkins, seated second from right, and parents Jeff and Andrea Adkins. Standing in back are GAHS Principal Tim Massie, GAHS athletic director Craig Wright and GAHS cross country coach Todd May. Adkins, a four-time cross country champion and six-time track champion in the SEOAL, has also competed at the state level nine times between the two sports. She is still undecided on a major at this time.
