GALLIPOLIS — The Ohio Governor’s Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives (GOFBCI) recently announced the re-release of the Feed Ohio: Summer Food Service Program support request for grant applications (RFGA).
An amended Feed Ohio RFGA can now be accessed on the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services website.
The governor’s office and Jobs and Family Services have re-issued this funding opportunity in an effort to meet the program goals of the Feed Ohio: Summer Food Service Program Support (SFSP) Project RFGA.
The governor’s office provides grants for faith-based and community organizations that will sponsor at least two new USDA Summer Food Service Program sites. Funding will be provided for startup costs and the implementation of an enrichment program surrounding the SFSP meal.
Faith-based and community 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations are eligible for this grant. Interested parties must apply before the Feb. 27, 2008, deadline.
Although there will be not be an additional question-and-answer period, applicants are encouraged visit the grant Website to download the final Q&A document from the original posting of this RFGA, as well as reviewing the RFGA checklist. This checklist is intended only as a guide to help compile the proposal. Proposals must include all required information and attachments as stated in the RFGA.
