GALLIPOLIS — Authorities are looking for a man who is suspected of two bank robberies in Franklin County earlier this month.

Steve D. Smith, allegedly robbed a Huntington Bank on Oct. 5 in Columbus and an Amtrust Bank on Oct. 10 in Bexley. He is 6-feet-tall, weighs 200 pounds and has brown hair and blue eyes.

He has close friends and acquaintances in the Vinton area.

Anyone with information on Smith’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Gallia County Sheriff’s Department at 446-4614, the Bexley Police Department at (614) 559-4444 or the Gallia County 9-1-1.
