GALLIPOLIS - Growing up, we are always told to never take candy from strangers, but for one night every year that notion is thrown out the window as costumed children everywhere make their way through neighborhoods one house at a time, asking residents the age-old question: Trick or treat?

Gallipolis, Rio Grande, and Cheshire will be holding “Trick-or-Treat” from 5:30 until 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 25.

With “Trick-or-Treat” night scheduled next week, it's important to follow a few simple guidelines when wandering the streets in search of sugary sweets.
