Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, 2007, at Old Baptist Cemetery and burial will follow.
Donald was born June 2, 1923, in Huntington, W.Va., a son of the late David Austin Fife and Josie Adams Fife.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Fern Fife; a son, Donald Fife Jr.; seven brothers, Paul, David, George, John, Arthur, Arnold and Robert Fife; and four sisters, Marie, Elsie and Ruth Fife, and Nancy Fife Boling.
He was retired from Debord Sheet Metal as a sheet metal worker.
He is survived by his wife, Robin Cottingham Fife; one son, Richard Fife of Chesapeake; a daughter, Donna Jane Fife Robinson of Missouri; six stepchildren, Charles Ward of Gahanna, Robert Ward of Chesapeake, Dudley Townsend and Eric Townsend, both of Columbus, Marjorie Johnson of Raymond, Ohio, and Carmen Townsend of Westerville; one granddaughter, Stepheney L. Fife; and two sisters, Josie Irene Carter of Lesage, W.Va., and Edith Frances Hester of Huntington.
There will be no visitation. Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home in Chesapeake is in charge of arrangements.
