He was born June 5, 1941, son of the late Woodrow Wilson and Luella Francis Walters Smith.
He is survived by two sisters, Mary Jane (Jack) Lane of Gallipolis, and Beth (Ron) Carper of Auburn, Ind.; six nieces, Leah (David) Bland, Lora (Charles) Lester, Carey (J.R.) Wright, Sarah Blazer, Amanda Taylor and Charissa (Chris) Bear; several step-nieces and step-nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Friends and family are invited to gather for a celebration of David's life from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007, at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, 420 First Ave., Gallipolis.
Graveside committal will be held at Lindenwood Cemetery in Fort Wayne, Ind.
