GALLIPOLIS — Whether you own them or just love them from afar, there’s something about an antique car that brings the nostalgia out in people.

This Saturday, the 29th Annual Ole’ Car Club Car Show will take place at the Gallipolis City Park.

Registration runs from 9 a.m. to noon and the fee is $10.

The first 175 vehicles registered will receive a dash plaque and there will be specialty awards for Best Ford, Chevy, Mopar, and Best of the Rest. Approximately 94 awards will be handed out this year.

The four groups for judging are antique and original, factory stock vehicles, street rod and street machine, and sport compact/tuner cars.

First, second and third places will be awarded to the antique and original class, first and second to the factory stock vehicles, top 20 in the street rod class, as well as the street machine class, and top five in the sport compact/tuner cars.

All judges’ decisions are final and Ole Car Club members are excluded from the judging.

A food concession will be provided by the Gallipolis Volunteer Fire Department and free health screenings will be offered by the Holzer Medical Center Community Health and Wellness Department from 12:30 to 4 p.m.
