GALLIPOLIS — A Bidwell woman, found guilty by jury in May for theft and forgery, now faces prison time.
Elizabeth Stout, 34, 7160 Ohio 160, was indicted by the Gallia County grand jury on one count of theft of $17,627.85 from Ohio Valley Bank Co. and one count of forgery for forging a counter check in the amount of $1,000 on the account of an elderly or disabled person.
On May 22, a jury of 12 found her guilty of both charges and on July 12 she was sentenced to the Ohio Reformatory for Women for 17 months for theft and 17 months for forgery, ordered to be served concurrently.
In addition, Stout was ordered to pay full restitution to Ohio Valley Bank and ordered to have no contact with the forgery victim.

The case against Anthony D. Wright, 23, Apartment 302, 126 Carmen Drive, Gallipolis, who was indicted on March 23, 2007 for trafficking in drugs, was dismissed at the request of the state because Wright is pleading in Gallipolis Municipal Court.
The case against Sharon L. Stewart, 20, Apartment 3, 904 W. College St., Rio Grande, who was indicted on March 23, 2007 for theft, was dismissed at the request of the state because Stewart agreed to cooperate with the state and pay restitution.
The case against Shannon R. Wolford, 28, 12283 Ohio 160, Vinton, who was indicted on Dec. 19, 2006 for burglary, was dismissed at the request of the state because the case will be filed at a later date.
One grand jury indictment from the March 23 session was also unsealed recently.
Jeremy Johnson, 25, 1082 Hamilton Road, Crown City, was indicted for receiving stolen property, for allegedly, receiving, retaining or disposing of a radiator, an intake, a semi-truck tire and wheel, and aluminum rims belonging to Curry’s Towing Co., knowing or having reasonable cause to believe, the items had been obtained through theft.
