The Sternwheel Riverfest begins its three-day run Thursday on the parking lot in Pomeroy. Wednesday several sternwheelers docked at the levee in preparation for the “Rally by the River.” The opening ceremony will be held tonight at 6 p.m. followed by the firetruck parade at 6:30 p.m. There will a cruise on the Blennerhassett Sternwheeler from 7 to 9 p.m. and entertainment in the amphitheater from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. by Still Standing.
