GALLIPOLIS — The Gallipolis man indicted earlier this year for allegedly robbing Johnson’s Supermarket on Second Avenue has pled guilty to attempted robbery and awaits sentencing.

Charles Brandon Hill, 30, 1975 Garners Ford Road, Gallipolis was arrested after police were able to identify him from witness descriptions following a robbery at the supermarket on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2007 at 6:31 p.m.

When the Gallipolis Police Department responded to the scene, they were informed that Hill, claiming to be armed, had demanded money from the register.

In consideration of Hill’s guilty plea, the state is requesting two years community control, an order for Hill to pay restitution, and for Hill to receive drug/alcohol counseling if necessary.

A pre-sentence investigation was ordered and sentencing is scheduled for Wednesday, May 23 at 8:30 a.m.
