Charlotte was born Dec. 31, 1918, in Minersville, daughter of the late Raymond and Eurana Winters Thomas.
She graduated from Pomeroy High School in 1936 and from the Holzer Hospital School of Nursing in 1939. She retired from Holzer Medical Center in 1980 after 36 years of service as a head nurse and supervisor.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Gallipolis and was past matron of the Gallipolis-Pomeroy Chapter No. 283 of the Ohio Eastern Star. She was active in the American Red Cross Bloodmobile for eight years.
She is survived by her son, Thomas E. (Donna) Cremeens of Scottsboro, Ala.; three grandchildren, Thomas E. Cremeens II and Alisa D. (Richard) Owens of Huntsville, Ala., and Brandi S. (Adam) Cushing of Scottsboro, Ala.; her sister, Jeanette Koeing of Mansfield, Ohio; and her brother, Henry Thomas of Chester.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanford W. Cremeens, on Dec. 1, 1988, and by a sister, Juanita Will.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 30, 2007, in the Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Officiating will be Pastor Alvis Pollard. There are no calling hours.
