At 11:12 p.m. Tuesday, Gallia County 9-1-1 received a report of a breaking and entering at the Par Mar gas station in Vinton, a description of the suspected vehicle and a direction of travel.
Sheriff's Deputy Kevin Werry engaged the vehicle on Ohio 325 heading south to Rio Grande and a chase that reached speeds in excess of 100 mph ensued.
The suspect car then turned onto U.S. 35 west toward Jackson and traveled almost to the Gallia County line before stopping.
Albert L. Charles, 21, of Scioto Furnace in Scioto County, and Larry W. Bradley, 23, of Wheelersburg, were arrested and transported to the Gallia County Jail.
The vehicle was seized and authorties were in the process of developing a warrant to search the vehicle as of press time.
According the sheriff's department, Charles allegedly confessed to his part in the breaking and entering and will be charged with complicity to breaking and entering.
Bradley requested a lawyer and will be charged with breaking and entering.
The incident was captured on surveillance and more charges are expected to follow.
Investigators are also looking into a similar breaking and entering that occurred on Jan. 8 at the Par Mar in Centenary.
In both the Vinton and Centenary break-ins, only cigarettes were taken.
