GALLIPOLIS — Gallipolis City Police are looking for an unidentified man who attempted to rob the Gallipolis Dairy Queen drive-thru at gunpoint Monday night.
According to Chief Clinton Patterson, city officers received a call at 8:33 p.m. of a robbery at the Dairy Queen, 169 Upper River Road, Gallipolis.
On arrival, officers were told a white male in a white SUV with tinted windows drove up to the drive-thru window, brandished a long-barreled firearm at the clerk and demanded she turn over the money from the register.
According to the police department, the suspect left the premises before receiving the money and did not leave his vehicle during the attempt.
