WAVERLY — Waverly, of the strong Southern Ohio Conference, defeated Gallia Academy in straight games during a Division II high school volleyball sectional semifinal game on Wednesday.

The Lady Tigers won by scores of 25-10, 25-18 and 25-15.

Waverly moves on to face Warren. The Blue Angels, meanwhile, wrap-up their season with an 11-11 record.

Lindsey Niday led the way serving with seven points followed by Ryann Leslie with four, three each from Sarah Cochran and Whitley Mayo and a pair from Alexis Geiger.

Geiger led the way spiking with three kills followed by four Angels with two each. Dana Dotson, Leslie, Brittany Miller and Katie Taylor all added two each and Mayo and Niday each chipped in one.

Libero Lauren Saunders had two digs.
