Two men get 6-year sentences

GALLIPOLIS — Two men indicted by the Gallia County grand jury in June on charges of aggravated burglary and aggravated robbery have pleaded guilty to burglary.

According to Gallia County Common Pleas Court records, Justin B. Ray, 20, 6929 Ohio 588, Bidwell, and Cory J. Young, 21, 75 Pine St., Rio Grande, entered the residence of Shawn D. Waller, 282 Shelton Road, Thurman, on May 21 and stole cash and prescriptions from the victim.

Ray, according to records and sheriff’s department reports, held a gun to Waller’s head in the robbery.

Both defendants were sentenced to the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction for a period of six years.

Ray was credited 85 days as time served and Young was credit 86 days as time served as of Aug. 14.
