Gale W. Green, 78, of Crown City, passed away at 8:05 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2006, at his Lanes Branch Road home.

He was born March 16, 1928, in St. Mary's, W.Va., he was the son of the late Roy and Jane Marie Call Green.

He was a retired heavy equipment operator for the Gallia County Highway Department and was a member of the Bethlehem Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Glenn Green and Gerald Green.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Ann Dillon Green; his daughter, Rohdonda Hardin of Groveport; his son, Michael Ray Dillon of Rio Grande; two grandchildren, Alex Hardin of Groveport, and Mikey Gilbert of Rio Grande; his sister, Garnet (Thomas) Knight of Galloway, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, July 24, 2006, in the Cremeens Funeral Chapel, with Pastors Jake Fry, Elmer Hill and Eugene Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Providence Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 2006.
