She was born April 29, 1932, in Gallia County, the daughter of the late Grover and Melva Bevans Sheets.
She retired from Holzer Medical Center and had also worked at the former Gallipolis State Institute. She was also a caregiver to several of the elderly in Gallia County. She was a member of the Good News Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Marsha Lynn Green; a great-granddaughter, Marissa Harris; a sister, Dorothy Green; and her best friend, Carolyn F. Burton.
She is survived by her children, Cynthia (Stanley) Taylor of Gallipolis, Juanita Robinette of Crown City, Debra Kinder of Gallipolis, Randy Green of Bidwell, and Kimberly Green of Gallipolis; ten grandchildren, Amanda Harris, Chastity Lavier, Liletta Call, Jeremy Kinder, Joshua Kinder, Derick Green, Tiffany Green, Heather Green, Lacy Redmond and Tyler Upchurch; eight great-grandchildren, Michael Harris, Trenton Neeley, Jayla Call, Cody Call, Lindsey Call, Haeden Kinder, Manuel Green and Abram Redmond; and two brothers, Willard (Gwen) Sheets of Crown City and Wayne (Tammy) Sheets of Rio Grande.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, June 22, 2006, in the Cremeens Funeral Chapel, with the Revs. Alfred Holley and Gary Warner officiating. Burial will follow in the Ridgelawn Cemetery in Mercerville. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2006, at the funeral home.
