GALLIPOLIS - This year, Mother's Day will be a day to remember for one lucky shopper who patronizes local businesses.

The Gallipolis Daily Tribune and 11 Gallia County Merchants have joined together for this year's “Mother's Day Basket Giveaway.”

The basket is filled with approximately $350 in gifts and will be presented to a customer of one of these local businesses. The entry will be drawn on May 11 and the winner announced in Friday, May 12's publication of the Gallipolis Daily Tribune.

The basket consists of a gift certificate for one micro-dermabrasion treatment from Mane Designers Salon and Day Spa; a Mother's Pillow from the French City Mall; a silk flower arrangement with decorated container from Tope's Furniture; a sterling silver Swarovski crystal bracelet from Acquisitions Jewelry; an oil change gift certificate from Norris Northup Chrysler Dodge Jeep; a Flower Bed tanning session gift certificate from Sun Haven Tanning Salon; a phone amplifier from Advanced Hearing; a gift certificate from Bossard Memorial Library; a gift certificate from Kipling Shoes in Gallipolis; a 2-1/2 pint jar of jam from Shrock's Home Furnishing; and a gift certificate from the Purple Turtle.

Visit any of the participating merchants for your chance to win. Entries will be taken now through May 11 and no purchase is necessary.
