Court accepts guilty pleas

GALLIPOLIS — A number of guilty pleas have been accepted recently in Gallia County Common Pleas Court, with sentences being issued in some cases and continued following a pre-sentence investigation in other cases.

Cases recently resolved include:

• Gary McGuire, 33, 358 E. Bethel Church Road, was sentenced to 24 months of community control after he pled guilty to one count theft.

He was further ordered to perform 500 hours of community service with all but 40 hours stayed, register with Ohio Employment Services, obtain his GED, and pay all costs of the prosecution for judgment rendered.

• Todd L. Saunders, 21, 184 Ann Drive, was sentenced to 11 months in the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction after he pled guilty to community control violations.

He was placed on probation after entering a guilty plea to one count receiving stolen property.

Cases awaiting sentencing include:

• Alfred K. Cordell III, 19, 63 Woodsmill Road, pled guilty to one count attempted disrupting public service.

His sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 18, 2009 at 11 a.m.

• Erika Craycraft, 22, 381 Buck Ridge Road, Apartment 92, pled guilty to one count tampering with records.

Her sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 18, 2009 at 10:30 a.m.

• Cara A. Henry, 23, Pomeroy, pled guilty to one count breaking and entering.

Her sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 11, 2009 at 1:30 a.m.

• Wanda M. Kelly, 40, 112 Lariat Drive, pled guilty to one count possession of drugs.

Her sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 10, 2009 at 1:30 p.m.

• D. Dawn Stover, 30, 563 Jay Drive, pled guilty to one count possession of drugs.

Her sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 18, 2009 at 10 a.m.
