Monday evening’s severe thunderstorms downed trees and power lines, including this one, which caused damage to a picnic shelter located between Hartford and New Haven. According to the Appalachian Power web site, there were no reported power outages remaining late Tuesday. Outages did remain in several neighboring counties. Power was restored to the Hartford area Tuesday afternoon according to the New Haven Police Department.
