Annabell Martin, age 94, of Springfield, passed away Thursday morning, April 28, 2011, at the Springfield Masonic Community. She was born on September 16, 1916, in Gallia County, to the late Harry Max and Ora Lanthorn Cromlish. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Arthur P. Martin; three sisters, Hilda Pinkerman, Gertrude Cromlish and Faye Manley, and by five brothers, Arnold, Howard, Kenneth, Ernest and William Harry “Bus” Cromlish.

Annabell was a homemaker and also did babysitting for several years.

She is survived by a nephew, Donald Saunders, whom she raised, and by his wife, Joyce, who was her caregiver for many years, of Springfield; one grandson, Timmy Saunders of St. Paris, Ohio; one granddaughter, Dawn Hazelton of Springfield; one great grandchild, Taylor Hazelton of Springfield, and by several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Clarabell Massie of Springfield.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, May 1, 2011, at Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Pastor Ralph Workman officiating. Burial will follow in the Centenary Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home on Sunday.
