He was born Oct. 6, 1934, in Ona, W.Va., son of the late Clyde and Margaret (Stevens) Yoho.
Allen was a claims representative for the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation, and a retired master sergeant with the Army National Guard. He was also a poll worker for the Stark County Board of Elections.
Allen was an avid golfer and worked part-time at the Legends Golf Course. He was a member of the Massillon American Legion Post No. 221, and was very active in the First United Methodist Church.
On Nov. 5, 1954, he married Mary Jane (Dudding), and she survives along with children, Janet Yoho of Akron, Allen Bradley (Lynn) Yoho of Westerville, Kathy (Jay) Drummond of Massillon, and Beth (Ted) Lozier of Worthington; sisters, Geneva Shaffer of Akron, Bettie (Jay) Rhodes of Richland, Wash., and Margie (Jack) Perry of Canvas, W.Va.; and six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Allen was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James, Denver, Clyde and Dale Yoho; sisters, Opal Cazad, Maye Curry and Emaline Smith; and a grandson, Cory Allen Drummond.
Allen will always be remembered for the devoted care of his daughter Janet, and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, Jan. 12, 2009, at 6 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Massillon, with the Rev. Leslie Peine officiating. Interment will be at 2 p.m. at the Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio, prior to the service.
