Beverly L. Koella, 32, Crown City, was present in court on Feb. 14 and pleaded not guilty to three counts of drug possession and three counts of drug trafficking.
The first two counts of the indictment allege that Koella was in the possession of three oxycodone tablets on Sept. 29, 2010, a fifth degree felony, and allegedly sold or attempted to sell said tablets on the day in question, a fourth degree felony.
Counts three and four of the indictment in this case allege that Koella was in the possession of five oxycodone tablets on Sept. 28, 2010, a fifth degree felony, and allegedly sold or attempted to sell said tablets on the day in question, a third degree felony.
The final two counts of the indictment allege that Koella was in the possession of six oxycodone tablets on Sept. 29, 2010, a fifth degree felony, and allegedly sold or attempted to sell said tablets on Sept. 29, a fourth degree felony.
The indictment further specifies that Koella forfeit $518, as well as a 2003 Ford Explorer to the Gallia County Sheriff’s Office as the funds and vehicle were used in the alleged offense as per count two of the indictment.
During her arraignment, Koella’s bond was set at $50,000 own recognizance with an additional bond of $1,500, 10 percent.
Koella is scheduled to appear in the common pleas court on April 4 for a status conference. A negotiated plea agreement in this case may be filed with the clerk of courts by May 20; otherwise, a jury trial has been set forth for June 20 in the common pleas courtroom.
Koella posted bond for her release on Monday.
