Lady Knights fall to Sissonville, 47-32

SISSONVILLE, W.Va. — The Point Pleasant Lady Knights fell to Sissonville on Monday evening in a Cardinal Conference contest by a score of 47-32.

The Lady Knights (7-11) trailed 8-4 after the first quarter, and were down 20-15 at the half. Sissonville continued to outscored Point Pleasant in the third and fourth quarters by scores of 11-10 and 16-7, respectively.

Andrea Porter led the Lady Knights with 11 points, followed by Katie Bruner with nine points. Kohl Slone and Amanda Roush each scored six points. All 13 Point Pleasant players played in the contest.

Sissonville was led by Hannah Keller with 21 points. Logan Henry scored eight points, Chelsea Burdette had seven points, Taren Rhodes added five points, Ryan Henry scored four points and Logan Walker had two points.

The Lady Knights were 2-4 from the free throw line for 50 percent, while Sissonville was 9-17 at the line for 52.9 percent.

Point Pleasant will host Chapmanville on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
