George Franklin Hoschar, 60, passed away unexpectedly on December 24, 2010, at his home. He was born December 24, 1950, in Mason County, a son to the late Rev. George and Alice Vanmeter Hoschar. He was a retired boilermaker and a member of the Iron worker union 667 of Winfield, W.Va.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Trey; and two brothers, David and Johnny Hoschar.

Survived by his wife, Carolyn Bland Hoschar, and Son Justin Hoschar of Texas; daughter, Ashley Hoschar of Orlando Fla.; step children, Teresa Gray of West Columbia, Lisa Minshell of Pomeroy, Ohio, and Cassandra (Todd) Roach of West Columbia; and six step grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Thomas Hoschar of Mason, W.Va., Roger and (Judy) Hoschar of Flatrock, W.Va., Jeff (Sherri) Hoschar of Evans, W.Va., and Lenore Standaland of Texas; and brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Stella Icenhower.
