A ‘Good Friday!’

Christians in Gallia County and all over the world have been commemorating the death and resurrection of Christ, culminating with the celebration of Good Friday and Easter Sunday this weekend. Local churches will be holding special services, including at Saint Louis Catholic Church in Gallipolis, pictured, where an Easter Vigil and Mass of Resurrection will be held beginning at 8 p.m. on Saturday. Easter Sunday masses will be held at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. this Sunday. The nearby First Presbyterian Church, also pictured, held Maundy Thursday services this Thursday in recognition of the Last Supper of Jesus with the Apostles.
