Gardner pleads guilty to murder of father
POMEROY — James E. Gardner, 41, of Middleport entered a guilty plea in the November 2012 death of his father, James W. Gardner. The defendant also plead guilty to one count of aggravated robbery. Meigs County Common Pleas Judge I. Carson Crow sentenced Gardner to the mandatory sentence of 15 years to life. Details of the plea and sentencing will appear in the Wednesday edition of The Daily Sentinel.
