2012 River Recreation Festival Royalty crowned
<p>The 2012 River Recreation Festival Royalty crowned Tuesday night includes 2012 Junior Miss First Runnerup McKenzie Siders, 2012 Junior Miss Riley Sanders, 2012 River Recreation Festival Queen Josie Vanco and 2012 River Recreation Festival Queen First Runnerup Cheyenna Bowers. Bowers was also voted Miss Congeniality, and Siders was recognized for the Best Decorated Parade Car.</p>

GALLIPOLIS — Josie Vanco will reign over the 2012 River Recreation Festival after being crowned queen during the annual pageant held Tuesday evening in Gallipolis.

Vanco, daughter of Marc and Karen Vanco, was one of five contestants in this year’s contest. She is a student at River Valley High School.

Cheyenna Bowers was the first runnerup. She is the daughter of Tonya and Jody Bowers and is a student at South Gallia High School.

Bowers was also voted Miss Congeniality by her fellow contestants.

In the Junior Miss pageant, Riley Sanders of Crown City won the crown. Sanders, daughter of Nathan and April Sanders, is an seventh grade student at South Gallia Middle School.

First runnerup in the Junior Miss Pageant was McKenzie Siders. Siders is the daughter of Kenny and Leighana Siders of Gallipolis, and will be entering the eighth grade at Gallia Academy Middle School.

Siders also won best decorated royalty parade car.

The pageant winners will have a busy year ahead of them as they represent the River Recreation Festival at various other festivals and fairs around the region.
