When the last (and arguably first) snow storm of 2012 hit the Ohio Valley overnight Friday, Gallipolis Daily Tribune staffers were still busy cranking out the Sunday Times-Sentinel. It made for a wintery, but beautiful, drive home along Ohio 7. The Gallipolis City Park, and all its statues and monuments, were covered in a fresh, untouched blanket of snow. The power plant was hazy behind a short-term blizzard around 4:30 a.m., and sleepy Cheshire was pristine with lights aglow. Happy New Year, Gallia County!
