GALLIPOLIS — The French Art Colony (FAC), regional multi-arts center, located in Gallipolis, Ohio will offer it’s Second Friday Music Series, beginning on Friday, May 10. This will be the second year for the live music event, presented on the second Friday of each month, May-October.
The event is presented in conjunction with Ohio River Live, a local group dedicated to presenting live music performed by local, regional and national musicians. Ohio River Live joined forces with the FAC during the inaugural season of the Second Friday events, as well.
Local singer-songwriter, Shelby Merry will perform May 10, presented on the patio at the French Art Colony, located at 530 1st Avenue, in Gallipolis. Gates will open at 6:30 p.m., with music beginning at 7 p.m.
Admission to each of the Second Friday events is $5 for adults and $3 for students. Food from Honey Creek Barbecue, and legal beverages, soft drinks and water will be available for purchase. Guests wishing to purchase alcohol must present a photo ID at the admission gate upon arrival.
The entertainment line-up for future 2013 Second Friday events has been set: June 14, Paul Doeffinger; July 12, Shana Smith; August 9, Jenny Walker & Mark Ward; September 13, Stillwater “Lite”; and October 11, Paul Callicoat.
The FAC’s Second Friday event is presented weather-permitting. Some tent covers will be available for shade, or in the event of light rain.
