CHESHIRE -- A three-vehicle crash happened just before dark Saturday at the intersection of Ohio 7 and Ohio 554 in Cheshire. A Meigs County Ambulance was involved in the crash, as well as two passenger vehicles.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a Meigs County EMS vehicle was transporting a male patient to Holzer Medical Center southbound on Ohio 7 when the driver went left of center and struck a Mercury Marquis, traveling northbound, head-on near the intersection of Ohio 554. The patient being transported was not in a life and death situation, according to the OSHP. A Honda minivan that had been directly behind the Mercury Marquis also became entangled in the crash.
Moderate injuries were reported from the Mercury Marquis, which involved a driver and a passenger, as well as moderate injuries reported to the driver of the van. The van contained no passengers. The ambulance was carrying three people, the driver, his female partner and the male patient. Possible minor injuries were reported by the female EMS responder. The
All involved in the crash were transported by squad to Holzer Medical Center and Pleasant Valley Hospital.
