GALLIPOLIS — The new Gallipolis Justice Center has been under construction for several months, and it is now beginning to look like a finished project.
Gallipolis City Manager Randy Finney said that there is still some work to be completed before the building can be opened for business.
Currently, construction crews are gearing up to do concrete work on the face of the building. This work is expected to take approximately two to three weeks to complete.
The interior is coming along, as well. Finney said the courtroom side of the building is nearly done, and other parts of the building only require paint and other mostly cosmetic finishing touches.
Fortunately, the recent storms have not caused any damage to the new building, and Finney said it is on track to be completed by late August.
