BIDWELL — A troupe of excited juniors and seniors paraded into River Valley High School on Saturday night for “an enchanted evening” as they observed their prom night.

It was a black tie event for the upperclassmen at RVHS as they danced in celebration of the final days of the school year, many of whom will graduate late next month and enter into college or some other venture in their adult life.

River Valley is the second of the two county high schools to celebrate their promenade, with South Gallia High School holding their prom last Saturday, April 20.

In the Gallipolis City School District, Gallia Academy High School students will be preparing for their prom at 7 p.m. this coming Saturday where the GAHS seniors will celebrate the completion of their high school days.

At River Valley High School, a graduation ceremony will be held beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 24 in the high school gymnasium.

South Gallia High School seniors will say “goodbye” to their fellow students and school staff on the following day at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 25 also in their school’s gymnasium.

A commencement ceremony at Gallia Academy High School is slated for the following week at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 31 in the high school gymnasium.
