Holzer Health System recently opened its new Holzer Wound Center in its Jackson location. A ribbon-cutting and grand opening was held November 15, on site at 500 Burlington Road. The center features state-of-the-art equipment, such as a hyperbaric oxygen chamber, that treats wounds associated with: diabetic ulcers, lower leg ulcers, pressure ulcers (bed sores), bone infections, gangrene, skin tears/lacerations, radiation burns, post-operative wounds and infections and failed or compromised skin grafts.
