CHESHIRE TWP. — Three individuals were arrested late Wednesday night after deputies with the Gallia County Sheriff’s Office discovered a meth lab at a home on Story’s Run Road in Gallia County.

According to Gallia County Sheriff Joe Browning, Travis Klein, 23, Lisa J. Klein, 43, and Ashley L. Hamilton, 28, all of 908 Story’s Run Road, Cheshire Township, Gallia County, were arrested in connection with the discovery of the methamphetamine lab.

Deputies responded to the home on Wednesday and dismantled the lab by utilizing specialized equipment.

Browning reported that, while all three suspects are being held for the illegal manufacture of drugs, a first degree felony, the Gallia County Prosecutor’s office is being consulted concerning further charges.

Travis Klein is reportedly being held in the Gallia County Jail, while Lisa J. Klein and Ashley L. Hamilton are being housed in the Middleport Jail.

The last reported meth lab in the area was discovered near a mobile home park in Mason, West Virginia, earlier this month.

Eric P. Humphreys, 34, Gallipolis, was arrested in connection with the operation of the “shake and bake” meth lab on August 2 by Mason County sheriff’s deputies.

Reportedly, residents of the Zuspan Mobile Home Park in Mason observed the suspect walking through the park and toward the riverbank carrying a backpack. When one of the residents went into the nearby woods to investigate, Humphreys was not located, but the backpack was found.

Deputies were later called to the scene to investigate and material consistent with what is found in mobile, “shake and bake” meth labs was found in the backpack.

After interviewing witnesses, Humphreys was identified by officers as a suspect and was later arrested in the area of Anderson Street in Mason.

He was transported to the Western Regional Jail in Barboursville, W.Va., and is being charged with attempting to operate a clandestine drug lab.
