GALLIPOLIS — The American Cancer Society will be hosting its 6th Annual Pan Ohio Hope Ride, and Gallipolis resident, Keith Wolfe, will be participating. The ride takes place from July 26-29 and begins at the Hope Lodge near Cleveland Clinic, passes through Columbus and finishes at Cincinnati’s Hope Lodge. With each stroke of the pedal, Wolfe will be closer to reaching the 328-mile finish and his $2,500 financial target.
The first leg of the ride will run 77 miles from Cleveland to Wooster. The second leg will run 100 miles from Wooster to Columbus. The third leg will run 75 miles from Columbus to Springfield, and the final leg will be 86 miles from Springfield to Cincinnati.
All proceeds from the ride will be used to fund the Hope Lodges in Cleveland and Cincinnati which provide cancer patients and their families with living accommodations while the patient receives treatment.
Wolfe still needs assistance reaching his $2,500 and hopes that readers will also see this as a worthy cause. There is plenty of information about the Hope Lodges and the ride on the website. Donations are tax deductible, and no donation is too small. Donations can be made online by visiting panohiohoperide.org or by mailing a check written to the American Cancer Society Attn: Pan Ohio Hope Ride, 10501 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44106.
