Richard L. Campbell, 75, Gallipolis, died on Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at his residence.

Richard was born September 3, 1937, in Crown City, Ohio, the son of the late Lawrence Edward “Simon” and Lillie M. Swain Campbell. He was an operating engineer and a construction superintendent.

Surviving is a son, Carlos (Missy) Campbell of Gallipolis and a daughter, Anita Hynus of North Carolina; six grandchildren, Courtney, Caleb, Colton and Carter Campbell, Cassie and Zachary Hynus; two sisters, Virginia Louise (Ray) Caldwell of Columbus and Karen Campbell of Gallipolis; and two brothers, Edward (Janet) Campbell of Inverness, FL and Ronald Ray (Anita) Campbell of Gallipolis.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his former wife, MaryAnn Watson Campbell; son-in-law, Jim Hynus; and one sister, Ruth Ann Campbell.

Richard’s funeral services will be private with burial in Swan Creek Cemetery.
