Delma L. Roush of Gallipolis, Ohio, passed away Monday, December 31, 2012, in the Holzer Senior Care Center, Bidwell. She was born in Addison Township, Ohio, daughter of the late Sterlie and Ora (Baker) Roush.

She had a long business career in Gallia County with an early association with Raymond Hoy and Company, a local furniture upholstery shop and manufacturer, where she became the Secretary/Treasurer. She then continued in that capacity with a successor company, French Colony Industries. She was a driven entrepreneur and in 1973, Delma acquired ownership of the Holiday Inn of Gallipolis which she operated successfully until 1991, when she sold the business. During her tenure of owning/operating the hotel, the facility earned many awards for customer service and high standards from the Holiday Inn Incorporated, Memphis, Tennessee. She was also a lifetime member of Addison United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two nephews, Robert Shaver of Gallipolis and John (Deborah) Roush of Bidwell, Ohio; and two special friends, Faye Coughenour and Lisa Osborne.

In addition to her parents, Delma was preceded in death by sister, Thelma Roush Shaver and brother, Charles Arthur Roush.

Graveside services will be conducted 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 2, 2013 in the Reynolds Cemetery, Addison, Ohio, with Rev. Alfred Holley officiating. As per Delma’s wishes, there will be no visitation. The McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis is honored to serve the Roush Family.
