MERCERVILLE — The South Gallia High School PRIDE organization recently hosted Old Saint Nick for a “breakfast with Santa” at the high school/middle school in Mercerville.

According to PRIDE advisor Tina Johnson, the event was organized by the PRIDE membership as a way to raise funds for their convention in April.

This was the first year that PRIDE — an alcohol and drug free youth organization — has hosted Santa and Mrs. Claus for their community breakfast and Johnson hopes that it will be something that students look forward to continuing next year as a means by which to promote a drug-free lifestyle to younger children and to raise funding for their organization.
