Common pleas indictments unsealed

GALLIPOLIS — Indictments recently issued in Gallia County Common Pleas Court include charges ranging from complicity to tampering with evidence and drug possession.

Indictments recently unsealed include:

• Elaine Diamond, 40, 900 Third Ave., Gallipolis, has been charged with one count complicity for allegedly aiding and abetting Justin Roberts in the felonious assault of a juvenile female on or about Nov. 11, 2007.

Diamond pled not guilty to the charge and was released on her own recognizance under a $20,000 bond with an additional bond set at $1,000 ten percent secured.

Her jury trial is scheduled for Sept. 10 at 9 a.m.

• Amanda D. Whittington, 30, Henderson, W.Va., has been charged with one count deception to obtain a dangerous drug for allegedly procuring the administration of a prescription for or the dispensing of Lortab by deception on or about Feb. 11, 2006.

Whittington pled not guilty to the charge and was released on her own recognizance under a $5,000 bond with an additional bond set at $1,000 ten percent secured

Her jury trial is scheduled for Sept. 21 at 9 a.m.

• Phillip O. Howell, 31, 653 Third Ave., Gallipolis, has been charged with three counts possession of drugs and one count tampering with evidence.

His indictment alleges that on or about March 27, he obtained, possessed, or used one 10-milligram OxyContin tablet, one 20-milligram OxyContin tablet, and one Percocet tablet and tried to conceal a silver metal pill container containing OxyContin, Percocet, and Lorcet with purpose to impair its value or availability as evidence in an official proceeding or investigation on or about March 27.

Howell pled not guilty to the charges and was released on his own recognizance under a $30,000 bond with an additional bond set at $1,000 ten percent secured.

His jury trial is scheduled for Oct. 14 at 9 a.m.

• Jenny L. Muncy, 19, 707 Houck Road, Patriot, has been charged with one count possession of drugs for allegedly obtaining, using, or possessing five Percocet tablets on or about May 11.

She pled not guilty to the charge and was released on her own recognizance under a $5,000 bond with an additional bond set at $1,000 ten percent secured.

Her jury trial is scheduled for Oct. 28 at 9 a.m.

Cases recently resolved include:

• Steve B. Donaldson, 47, Pomeroy, was sentenced to 12 months in the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections after he pled guilty to possessing 29 80-milligram Oxycontin tablets.

He was further ordered to pay court costs and the costs of the prosecution for judgment rendered.
