V. Faye Hanley, 88, of Fostoria, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2012, at her residence.

She was born June 26, 1924, in Gallia County, Ohio, to the late Alfred and Jenni (Strickland) Hatfield. She married Frederick Earl Hanley February 9, 1957, in Angola, IN, and he preceded her in death October 19, 2005.

Faye is survived by daughters, Pam (John) Waldman, Van Buren and Freda Hanley, Fostoria; one grandson, Chad Hanley, Seymour, IN; two granddaughters, Jennifer Johnston, Findlay and Megan (Joseph) Bein, Decatur, IL.; two great-grandchildren, Kennedy and Vaden; and special family member, Heather Chorre Garcia.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Vicki (Hanley) Marks; brothers, Raymond, Robert and George; and sisters, Rilla Luckadoo, Alice Rutan, Etta Rowsey and Marie Saunders.

Faye retired from ExCello in 1984. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Fostoria. Faye enjoyed sewing, doing jigsaw puzzles and doll collecting. A very giving and caring person, Faye touched the lives of those around her.

Visitation was held Sunday, September 30, 2012, at Mann-Hare-Hoening Funeral Home, 407 N. Countyline St., Fostoria, and funeral services were held Monday, October 1, 2012, with Rev. Larry Hatfield presiding. Committal services and burial followed at Knollcrest Cemetery, Arcadia.
